Hi, I’m Garth Dew, founder of GD Video — a story-first production studio based in Lancashire.
I came to filmmaking after a career in professional rugby was cut short by injury. With a background spanning elite sport and the arts, I’m drawn to stories of creativity, performance, and transformation — narratives that move people and create real impact.
My documentaries have toured the UK and been featured on the BBC and Kendal Mountain Player. I’ve also created content campaigns for global brands including Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Speedo, Arla, Autodesk, and AMS Neve.
Today, I collaborate with aligned people, brands, and organisations to craft cinematic films and photography that resonate. From strategy and storytelling through to production and repurposing across channels, I help clients share stories that connect in a fast-moving, multi-platform world.
I only take on a select number of projects each year so I can give each one the attention and craft it deserves. This isn’t about generic content or quick turnarounds — it’s about creating work that people actually want to watch, share, and remember.
If you’re ready to tell your story in a way that resonates, let’s connect.
Clients include:
Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Quorn, Speedo, Arla, Autodesk, Neve, Skiddle, Keen, UCLan, University of Cumbria.
